October 2022 – As sustainability is intrinsic to our business operations, Meiyume has been committed to shaping the future of the beauty industry through our sustainability governance of the 4Ps – Product, Process, People, and Places. Through a cohesive approach, our global team was able to align ourselves according to our company’s values to empower sustainable beauty solutions.

This year, Meiyume is proud to announce that we have been awarded a Gold medal for our sustainability performance from EcoVadis, the world’s largest provider of business sustainability ratings. After the evaluation of our 5 factories, and counting more than 2000 employees, we are truly honoured to be recognised by EcoVadis this year for our efforts in improving our sustainability index, reaching our goal of attaining a Gold medal, and being in the top 5% of all companies evaluated, with an overall score of 67/100. This rating comes after the culmination of a company-wide effort to improve sustainability performance.

EcoVadis

EcoVadis is a reliable global provider of business sustainability ratings and insights for companies across the globe. The EcoVadis medals are awarded based on how companies are implementing their sustainability strategy across their business operations and policies across EcoVadis’ methodology. This covers 7 management indicators across 21 sustainability criteria in four themes: Labor & Human Rights, Environment, Sustainable Procurement, and Ethics. These ratings are derived through a standard-based assessment from leading organisations such as Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), and ISO 26000, and are supervised by an international scientific committee.
